Overview:
The Human Resources (HR) Leader will report to the Regional Human Resource Leader and oversee the day-to-day operations of the human resources team at the new Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center (DC) in Weston, FL (3325 Meridian Parkway Weston, Florida 33331). This individual will help lead a workforce responsible for distributing millions of cases of inventory annually to Chick-fil-A Operators throughout the southwest. The Talent Leader will ensure that the workforce can meet the demands of the DC, working closely with Chick-fil-A Supply Talent leadership and other distribution centers to drive the talent strategy at the DC. Supported by the Talent Specialist(s), the Talent Leader will manage reward and benefit systems to help meet broader organizational goals. This person will help drive continued innovation at an operation like no other in the food service industry, by focusing specifically on the engagement and development of the workforce. This role will be uniquely challenged with their participation in the stand up of a brand-new DC and the testing and refinement of a new facility implementation playbook to assist in the stand up of future facilities. For more information, visit cfa-supply.com.Responsibilities:Support team leaders and site leadership team by providing guidance on performance management, problem solving, and various policies (e.g., FMLA, ADA, workers compensation, etc.Execute recruitment and retention initiatives that support the broader business goals of the DCCoordinate with the legal team at CFA Inc. to ensure legal compliance with all applicable federal and state requirements and advise DC leaders on employment law and government regulationsImplement and oversee performance review and incentive programs within the DCAchieve target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to attrition, employee engagement and safetyDrive employee engagement across all departments of the DCSupport the Chick-fil-A vision and strategy by helping build a culture that aligns with the Chick-fil-A Supply values of care, safety and excellence.Support organizational growth and future distribution center openers by participating in interview events, training/onboarding and providing temporary talent support, if neededComplete other activities as deemed valuable by the organizationRelationship Management:Work closely with CFA Supply Senior Leadership Team, CFA Inc. Supply Chain, Operators, and various business partners to ensure optimal alignment and collaborationProvide employee relations support to all distribution center staffMaintain a positive, service-focused mindsetDemonstrate the ability to value both relationships and results and to put others above themselvesRecruit, train, and develop a strong teamMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in business administration, organizational development, human resources, or another relevant field7 years of HR experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environmentDemonstrated knowledge of general HR policies, procedures and practicesAbility to build relationships with and influence others across multiple operationsAbility to navigate a confrontational situation, ensuring all parties are treated with honor, dignity, and respectExcellent business communication and presentation skillsExperience with investigations including, but not limited to, accidents and harassment allegationsExperience recruiting and developing a strong, diverse teamAbility to lead through change managementProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookPreferred Qualifications:
7-10 years of HR experience in a distribution environmentActive PHR/SPHR SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or similar certificationExcellent knowledge of employment law and other governmental requirements related to human resourcesWorking knowledge of logistics, warehousing and IT systemsWorking knowledge of supply chain innovationsWorking knowledge of safe work practices (OSHA, etc.) for all functions performed in a distribution facilityDemonstrated business acumen and ownership of HR KPIs; using data to drive continuous improvementDemonstrated ability leading in distribution centerStartup experienceFood service distribution experience
