Position Summary:
Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) division on a temporary assignment basis only. The term will be approximately 4 months (late Oct. '24 - late Feb. '25). This Analyst will be responsible for supporting SCA's Annual Budget & Forecasting activities for a large scale of divisions, specifically as we implement new systems and automated processes (powered by MS Azure, SQL, etc.)
This team member would be required to work from the NYC office 3 days a week and the role will end March 1, 2025.
Responsibilities:Analysis of detailed current year Financial Forecast data submitted by SCA operating groups, including reconciling Year-to-date Actuals informationAnalysis of detailed Annual Budget for following fiscal yearMaintain source information driving automated databaseManage organization of SharePoint website hosting all financial planning & reporting materialsAssist with Headcount Tracking, Analysis & Variance explanationsAssist with creation of Management Reporting decks for various data scopes and stakeholdersManage Allocation planning between SCA Internal Departments and also between SCA & Sony Affiliates and prepare recurring allocation journal entries for Accounting to book ActualsAssist with collecting and compiling information for Balance Sheet planningPrepare system uploads of financial plans for SAP & Business Warehouse financial systemsWork with SCA Accounting on adjustment entries if neededPrepare ad-hoc reporting as requestedQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field5 years experience in FP&A related functionStrong Proficiency in Microsoft Suite requiredExcellent communication, organizational and critical thinking skillsProactive, self-starter taking initiative with tasks, and following through to completionAbility to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and in both independent and collaborative environmentsCandidates must be authorized to work in the USA
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $70,000 to $78,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
