Job Description
Responsible for providing support for general accounting, completion of the close, and ensuring that the general ledger account balances and trial balances and supporting schedules are accurate.
This position offers a base salary of $61,500.00 up to $82,000.00 . Final salary is determined by required qualifications, experience, and education for this role.

Qualifications
Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting or financeMinimum of 2 years of general accounting experienceUnderstanding of the end-to-end Record to Report processKnowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principlesFlexible to new ideas and ways of accomplishing tasksFunctional knowledge of the general accounting processHighly organizedAbility to meet strict deadlinesAbility to work in a team environmentCommitment to the YMCA character development values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility is requiredEssential Functions
Complete assigned general accounting tasks in the production and delivery of timely and accurate GAAP financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for assigned YMCA clientsPrepare, code and record entries and transactions in the production of financial statements and reportsReview trial balance for accuracy and reasonableness and reconcile/analyze all assigned general ledger accountsCollect and/or prepare appropriate supporting documents for all accounting entries and activityProvide audit support specific to general accounting as assignedPrepare government and grant reports, support, and invoices as assignedMaintain files, work papers, and reconciliations for assigned client YMCA in a manner consistent with current YESS Finance/Accounting standards, making those documents available for association reviewRespond to information requests as requiredPerform other duties as assigned
