Job Summary:
The Senior Treasury Analyst will be involved across several Treasury functional areas. This includes project managing treasury process improvements, cash forecasting, liaising between GTreasury/Lockton IT/ banks on projects, working with the International Treasury team to optimize global cash pooling. The position will be an integral part of supporting Lockton’s growth along with the growth of the Treasury function. This position will part of the team responsible for daily cash positioning, short-term borrowing and investing, cash forecasting, bank fee analysis, and bank account documentation. This includes the development and implementation of enhanced cash management processes, including client premiums, development and documentation of and compliance with policies and procedures, and treasury operations management.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities:
• Partner with the operational team to design and implement organizational and process improvements around cash management, banking relationships, cash forecasting, working capital, and other treasury operations to become more flexible and agile.
• Develop process to track and report bank signer updates.
• Be a thought leader and subject matter expert in the development of “best practices” in the treasury operations group and implement process, people and technology changes which deliver efficiencies and scalability.
• Be involved in the planning and implementation phases as we transition from PeopleSoft to Oracle, and the impact this will have on the treasury management platform and payment process.
• Project manage and be responsible for collaborating with the banks and GTreasury to drive further automation of processes.
• Develop a deep understanding of insurance broker regulatory requirements surrounding client money and ensure compliance with such regulations.
• Provides strategic thought leadership for the Treasury Operations team to facilitate organizational growth.
• Oversee and enhance daily liquidity and financing structures along with operational processes that will allow Lockton to manage their cash and debt portfolio daily.
• Review and utilize improved bank technology to increase operational efficiencies.
• Partner with Lockton’s transactional accounting group to develop collaborative solutions to manage $30B in payment and receipt activity.
• Lead review of existing bank relationships and services to determine optimal operational structure.
• Assist in enhancing banking and legal documentation including FBAR-related documentation.
• Assist other departments (e.g., accounting, finance) with budget, quarter-end and ad-hoc information requests as needed.
• Be cross-trained on all daily cash positioning, short term borrowing and cash investing procedures.
• Assist with implementation of FXALL platform and ensure operation going forward is successful.
• Work with the payables team to develop a path to outsource all in-house printed checks.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• CTP, CPA, CFA Certifications preferred
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Treasury Operations, Treasury Technology, Daily Liquidity Management, Debt Issuance, Payments and Banking Service, and Project Management
• International treasury experience is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel Skills
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
