is looking for a qualified Radiation Physicist to join a dedicated team of Radiation Oncology professionals at a well-established healthcare facility in Illinois. The Radiation Physicist will be responsible for managing quality assurance processes in radiation therapy, ensuring accurate and safe treatment delivery in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Key duties include the routine monitoring, testing, and calibration of radiotherapy equipment and treatment planning systems. The role also involves reviewing and verifying treatment plans for external beam therapy, brachytherapy, and other modalities. In addition, the Radiation Physicist must maintain the necessary credentials to safely manage and handle hazardous radioactive materials.

Perform and oversee radiation therapy treatment planning using advanced software and techniques.Conduct quality assurance tests on radiation equipment and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Collaborate closely with Radiation Oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and optimize treatment plans.Provide training and support to staff on radiation safety protocols and procedures.Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental projects as assigned.Radiation Physicist Job Qualifications:

Master's or Doctoral degree in Medical Physics, Radiation Physics, or a related field.Board certification or eligibility in Radiology Therapeutic Physics or Medical Physics required.1 year of work experience in Radiation Oncology clinical procedures, including 3-D conformal planning, IMRT, machine QA, and calibration of radiation therapy/radiologic equipment.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred

Qualifications:

Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP accredited program.Completion of a two-year residency in Medical Physics
