The New York Athletic Club, founded in 1868, is a platinum and emerald-rated, private club. The NYAC has over 9,000 active members. The NYAC remains steadfastly committed to its roots, supporting athletes at the highest levels of Olympic competition while providing world class facilities at its two locations - the Manhattan City House and Travers Island in Westchester County for those of its members who wish simply to remain fit and healthy.

Summary :

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our restaurant, including the selection, development and performance of employees.

Requirements:Manage FOH operations in both the a la carte and banquet areas.Ensure that service to members and guests meets the standard of the NYAC.Greet and escort members and guest to their tableTake reservations over the phone, via email and through dining app.Supervise union restaurant staff.Complete will weekly payroll, staff scheduling and training.Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality food and beverage service.Handle any member /guest concerns or complaints.Must have excellent communication skills.Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.Education/Skills/Experience:

Must have at least 3 years' experience in the Services and Hospitality Industry.Must have NYC department of Health Food Handler permit.Basic knowledge of food, wine and liquor.Must have strong organizational skills, self- discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing.Must be proficient in computers and POS Systems.Experience managing in a union environment preferred.Requirements
