We're looking for someone to join our team as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner who:
Provides medical services for the students and families of Kern County and includes the following: Patient evaluation, which should include histories both brief (interval) and more thorough, histories on children, adults and the elderly. Physical examinations: focused or thorough, as needed to define patient problems adequately. Develop diagnoses or differential diagnoses appropriate to patients' complaints. Consult with Physician when needed. Patient problem confirmation and testing including the (ordering of laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic measure). Participate in the performance of the necessary diagnostic maneuvers such as anoscopy examination, pelvic examination and pap smears, electrocardiography, chest x-ray interpretation and the ability to draw venous blood when needed.

Essential Functions:
* Provide women's health services in clinic setting consisting of CSV patients and the general public.* Provides well woman exams, evaluation and treatment of common infections, contraceptive care, PAP smears, HPV screening, and urinary tract infections.* Contraceptive care, including procedures such as IUD/BC implant as per privilege granted.* Orders labs and other tests with sound clinical indications of laboratory, X-ray tests, and the essentiality of preventative and therapeutic steps.* Implements referrals when indicated.* Participates in clinical activities in all clinic sites on a scheduled basis.* Participates in clinical consultations with associates and continuing education both within the institution and extramurally.* Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Other Responsibilities:
* On a scheduled temporary basis may be required to work at any satellite clinic.* Reasonable and predictable in person attendance.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
* Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program* One (1) year of OB/GYN experience or family planning experience is preferred,* Board-Certification in Women's Healthcare preferred. Clinica Sierra Vista will support the CME time and funds.* Qualified to practice by certification in the State of California.* Must adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista's employee health/immunization requirements or provide a valid exemption request for subsequent approval.
