Role Summary:
The Paralegal will work closely with an attorney in the Cincinnati Metro Area, supporting clients in line with our core values and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and court ordersCorrespond with clients and prepare spreadsheets/documents for Inventory and Appraisement and Proposed Support DecisionFile pleadings with court clerksCoordinate delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and partiesConduct intake calls with potential new clients and prepare attorneys for initial consultations (sales experience appreciated)Assist attorneys with mediations, depositions, hearings, trials, and conferencesDraft discovery requests, calendar due dates, and prepare correspondence to opposing counsel/partiesHelp clients comply with discovery requests and compile requested documentsJob Requirements:
3+ Years of Paralegal or Legal Assistant experienceMust be able to conduct interviews with families as needed.Exceptional verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail, prioritization, problem-solving, and time management skillsAbility to learn and utilize new software, technology, billing systems, and techniquesCreativity, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentEducation and Certification:
Paralegal certificate or certification preferred but not required
