About the role:
Samsara's Hardware Product Managers are responsible for the end-to-end success of our IoT devices and the corresponding solution capabilities. The ability to define complete products with the added insights needed on the impact and nuances of hardware will be important to the success of this role. Samsara's approach to product management is rooted in a deep understanding of the customer. You'll learn about our customers' operations, identify the most meaningful problems that we could solve for them, and deliver products that maximize the impact Samsara can make on the market.
We are looking for talented individuals to join our hardware product management team. We are looking for a Product Management intern to help define and drive a range of advanced IoT devices, sensors and accessories that are focused on our customer's connected operations. The Samsara hardware products are the building blocks that enable data collection in the field across a wide range of assets. This data fuels the Samsara Connected Operations Cloud enabling our customers to improve Safety, Efficiency and Sustainability!
This role is based out of our San Francisco office. Interns are required to come into the office 3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) with the opportunity to work from home Mondays and Fridays. At this time, we are only looking for first-year MBA students for this role, with a target graduation year of 2026. To be eligible, you must have prior hardware experience before pursuing your MBA and an interest in pivoting into a Hardware-specific Product Management position. We will provide relocation and housing assistance as part of the internship.

In this role, you will:
Analyze support cases, market data, customer feedback, and inputs from other product team members to deliver a multi-quarter roadmap for fleet safety capabilitiesPartner closely with firmware and hardware engineering teams to define and deliver reliable Safety solutions and accessoriesDraw out deep customer insights to fuel product vision and directionDefining product strategy, translating it into a roadmap, and executing against it, by working closely with designers, engineers, data scientists, and marketers in a collaborative environmentChampion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new officesMinimum Requirements for the role:
Currently pursuing an MBA with a graduation year of 20262+ years of working experience prior to returning to graduate school in Product Management, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or a related industryPrevious experience in hardware product developmentAn ideal candidate has:

The range of hourly base salary for this position is below. Please note that base hourly pay may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
