In this role, you will: Develop competitive intelligence tools, including competitor profiles (e.g., strengths, weaknesses, corporate strategy, go to market strategy, product strategy, etc.). Conduct primary research to understand competitors and how Samsara can win (e.g., direct customer research, app store review scans, review of publicly-available product design and capabilities). Develop sales tools to help sales win in competitive deals. Examples include pitch docs, battlecards, and one-off competitor response talk tracks. Develop marketing tools to help marketing deliver competitive messaging. Examples of internal customers may include content marketing, website design, customer marketing, SEO team. Deliver competitive strategies to the sales team, either through partnership with sales enablement or directly by attending team meetings, leading zoom or in person training sessions, or responding to sales inbounds via slack. Synthesize our win-loss data to generate actionable competitor insights and recommendations, supporting data-driven decision-making and competitor positioning across the organization. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to inform and adapt our strategic initiatives. Minimum requirements for the role: B.S. or equivalent with a solid background in business strategy and technology MBA preferred but not required 3-5 years experience overall, including 2-3 years doing enterprise software due diligence (either within a consulting firm or in a buy-side environment) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sense of complex quantitative and qualitative data. Excellent communication skills, able to convey strategic insights and recommendations across all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and pay attention to detail. Entrepreneurial mindset, ready to try new things and tackle challenges in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below.
