Overview

The Training Specialist develops, organizes, and conducts training modules in both live classroom and remote electronic mediums to meet organizational objectives. This position is responsible for the development and upkeep of functional training manuals, and other visual aids and materials, that enhance and reinforce various training curriculum. This position will be primarily responsible for content development and facilitation of maintenance related training.

Responsibilities

The individual must be able to perform the following tasks:Develop end user documentation and training material, including presentations, help guides, data for demonstrations and exercises, training aids, work instructions, online help, simulations, computer-based training, and procedures.Management and administration of onboarding training process for all employees.Facilitate in person and online training programs using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.Update and maintain training documentation, materials, and related data for accuracy.Conduct thorough external and internal research and develop training content recommendations that align with company procedures and standards. Monitor, evaluate, and record training activities and program effectiveness.Effectively utilize adult learning strategies and delivery mechanisms; adjust training methods, delivery, programs, and training aids as needed.Develop training programs to improve the operational performance of the portfolio. Communicate training plans, challenges, and status to management.Assist with event coordination and administration of internal training classes and conferences.Prepare training class materials and training room in advance of each training session.Maintain awareness of current trends in training, including delivery, support, and key technologies.Administer Learning Management Software, assign eLearning courses and due dates, monitor for timely completion, develop, and distribute reports.Assist in other training functional areas as necessary.Monitor and respond to training support requests.Compile and analyze training data, provide recommendations.Other Job Functions

Maintain regular attendance ad follow Company rules and regulations governing attendance.Communicate effectively and display a professional manner when dealing with supervisors, co-workers, residents and individuals inside and outside the organization.Work effectively as a team member, participating actively and constructively.Perform all duties in a safe manner by following all Company safety procedures for the operation of equipment, machinery and hazardous substances and chemicals.Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.One to three years of training experience preferred.Proficient in standard information technology tools, including Microsoft Office products.Knowledge of LMS, Aspire, Interplay Learning, Articulate, and Camtasia software is preferred.Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.Some travel is required.Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
