Sr. Principal Project Management
position on the F-35 Program based in
Redondo Beach, CA
.
In this position, your key roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide executive support to the F-35 Program Office creating briefs, white papers, and other deliverables for decision making and status reviews by higher management at the Air Dominance Division, Aeronautics Sector, and NG Corporate offices and by customers.
Act as the liaison between the F-35 Program and counterparts on the Air Dominance Division staff, the Aeronautics Sector staff, and Functional Homerooms, particularly as the Program spokesperson for the Program Office.
Assume the role as the Lead Program Integrator to lead the integration effort on the F-35 Program and provide leadership to the various Integrators throughout the Program to ensure the unimpeded flow of information and an integrated, coordinated work environment between the Program Office, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and Functions on the Program.
Gather, analyze, interpret, and present Program data to assess and report on the status of the F-35 Program to upper management and to develop and present solutions to Program-wide issues.
Develop, disseminate, and implement Program goals / objectives and ensure that various Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Functions on the Program are consistently striving toward them.
Initiate and complete projects as required to further Program objectives and manage resources.
Successful candidates will have the following key attributes:
Proactive – anticipates requirements from higher management and initiate and complete actions required to meet those requirements.
Perceptive – sees the “big picture” but is also able to focus on the details and follows all of them through to completion.
Composed – maintains a “level head” in the extremely dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding environment on the F-35 Program, especially when working closely with executive management on projects with highly compressed timelines and tight deadlines.
Reliable – becomes a key resource and the “go-to” person for the executive leadership in the F-35 Program Office.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below.
Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally. (managing projects, scheduling, budget)
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to develop and influence project team relationships
Experience of familiarity with aircraft production, supply chain, engineering, software development, and product support
F-35 Program Familiarity
Program Integration and Risk Management experience
Proficient in AS Sector Tracking Risk, Issues, and Opportunity (TRIO) Tool
Salary Range:
$109,900 - $164,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
