Job Description
Required fulltime on-site (minor exceptions to be approved by Project Lead)
Review cost control reports for the project but not limited to budgets, commitments, VOWD, forecasting, Capex expenditure, contingency management, variance analysis reporting and monthly project reporting.
Responsible for timely Project Changes and ensures costs are captured into the cost forecast and reports. Including PCR (customer) and WorkFront Changes
Ensures correct Cost Breakdown Structure coding is utilized for budgets, requisitions, purchase orders and invoices.
Support E2E invoice processing to ensure timely release of invoices for submission for payment.
Analyze data to understand variances from plan and impact of actual performance on costs by area / discipline
Provides monthly updates on indirects (plan vs actual, time reporting gaps/overages etc.)
Oversees the Monthly cost reconciliation between Unifier and SAP
Participate in Project Team and Functional Team meetings and workshops as requested.
Responds to ad hoc requests for data, data analysis, and presentation materials. (including estimates)
Oversee and provides assistance to other Cost Controllers and Planners as and when required.
Leads the development, monitoring and update of integrated project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible
Oversees the Preparation of the baseline schedule and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams
Assess impacts and make recommendation to the critical path and near-critical activities and report to the project team
Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the developing of alternative methods for corrective action
Provide schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis on a periodic basis
Maintain record of contractor scope changes, trends and variances that potentially affect schedule performance
Assures credibility of the information contained in the cost and schedule reporting
Review schedules with project team members on a regular basis to ensure that accurate and timely data is incorporated in the schedule
Facilitate project scheduling meetings and/or interactive planning meetings as required by the project team
Creation and regular update of Project Risk Registers. Monte-Carlo simulations/experience is preferred.
Support and Coordinate the Planning and Controlling (SMORF & Target) for regional Biologics Capex Portfolio. Includes monthly variance analysis .
Management Responsibilities:
Integrated scheduler performance and tasks
Cost Controlling performance and tasks
Document Controls Manager
Qualifications
10-15 years of experience in planning/cost control and ensuring accurate plans and costs are controlled for large (> 100 Mio CHF) projects, Pharma experience preferred.
Language: Excellent command of English, Other Languages advantageous.
Strong analytical skills. Ability to conduct analysis of complex/large data sets, draw conclusions accordingly, and prepare and support decisions.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Able to deal with Ambiguity - can conform to shifting priorities, and demands
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with project management software in the area of cost controlling and Excel. Primavera P6 use and knowledge is necessary.
Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is
$165k-$185k
per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
