Summary The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer is responsiblefor optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient productionworkflows, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Keyresponsibilities include creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BoM),developing routing, and utilizing ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) to driveoperational excellence.EssentialResponsibilitiesDevelop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.Create and maintain accurate BoMs for all products and assemblies, ensuring clear documentation and revision control.Design and maintain detailed routing for manufacturing processes, ensuring the best production practices for efficiency and quality.Utilize NetSuite or similar ERP systems for manufacturing process planning, scheduling, inventory management, and cost control.Process Improvement: Continuously analyze production workflows and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure quality.Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with design, quality, and production teams to ensure alignment on product specifications, material needs, and manufacturing methods.Technical Documentation: Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and process sheets.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in manufacturing and provide regular reports to management for decision-making.Ensure all processes comply with applicable safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.Decision AuthorityThe employee is not at liberty to depart from Companypolicy, make commitments on behalf of the Company, or take significant actionbeyond their responsibilities without prior authorization from Management.SupervisoryResponsibilityNo managerial responsibilities.Work EnvironmentWork is performed in a combination of office and manufacturing environments.May require occasional travel to other company locations or supplier sites.May involve exposure to hazardous materials or environments requiring safety precautions.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here represent those that allassociates must meet to perform the essential functions of this jobsuccessfully.Lifting 5%Sitting 50%Standing 15%Travel 10%Walking 20%Position Type/ExpectedHours of WorkThis is a full-time position, and hours of work and days areMonday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. As job duties demand, evening andweekend work may be required.Travel10%Required Educationand ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a mechanical or industrial environment.Proficiency with NetSuite or other ERP systems is highly preferred.BoM & Routing: Strong understanding of Bills of Materials and routing processes in a manufacturing environment.Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to implement effective solutions.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).Excellent communication and project management skills.About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
