The

Plumber III

is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal in the facility. The

Plumber III

works in cooperation with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, legislation and policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion of any project. Providing adequate services will ensure that all water supply networks, waste systems and drainage systems are installed, repaired and maintained to meet all standards of building codes and safety. The

Plumber III

leads training for new associates and serves as a Subject Matter Expert to facilities stakeholders. The

Plumber III

also leads larger scale projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components - 60%

Diagnoses cause of problems and/or failures in water systems to identify equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needsInstalls, maintains and repairs domestic water pumps, water piping lines, water filters and plumbing fixtures.Repairs and maintains steam stations, valves, heating and condensation return stations and sewer and storm drainsTests fire system valves, tamper switches, fire pumps and dry deluge fire systemsMaintains the piping and supply of cylinder and bulk medical gas systemsPrepares the preventative maintenance schedule and produces monthly reportsDevelops procedures and conducts preventative maintenance and service inspections of backflow devices and cross-connection control awarenessResponds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concernsIdentifies and recommends long-term needs and strategies for plumbing systems and components, resulting in cost savingsFollows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as requiredInforms personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders to provide information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulationsMaintains vehicle, tools and equipment to ensure availability in safe operating conditionMay serve as a dedicated service tech, providing electrical services to facilities/buildings within a defined region, requiring travel to multiple sites to perform service and billings functionsMay travel to multiple sites to perform functions of the roleMay coordinate, maintain and repair all energy management systemsSpecial Projects - 40%

Requirements:

Relevant License requiredMust have one or more of the following:

Graduate of trade school and 3 years' experience5 years' relevant experienceOther equivalent combination of relevant education or experience
