Certified Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) VerificationExperience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties include working with pediatric and elderly patients.Common diagnosis/Types of patients include Modified barium swallow, phese, communication, cognitive, peds and autism, FEEs (Fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing).Inpatient, Outpatient, Long Term Care experience.FEEs is preferred but not a must.Ok with first time travelers.Special Note: Must indicate if the clinician has ever worked for North Valley Hospital.Schedule Information
Shifts are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.No weekends or holidays required.Department specific orientation: 1-2 days with a preceptor.Self-scheduling and Block scheduling not allowed.Unit Specific Information
Caseload includes pediatric and elderly patients.Treatment includes Modified barium swallow, phese, communication, cognitive, peds and autism, FEEs (Fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing).SLP Manager/Supervisor oversees the position.No Rehab Aides or SLA's provided.Additional Details
Number of patients treated per day: 6Areas required to cover also include bonus skills such as the ability to perform mod barium study.Professional attire (typically khaki) or scrubs as a dress code.Additional Questions for the clinician: How do you manage when people don't communicate the way you want?
