Sr Material Handler

The Senior Warehouse Specialist is a member of the Distribution Services team and performs all warehousing functions required to fulfill warehousing and distribution operations at a facility. This job implements productive processes that support both ISO standards and cGMP guidelines. The Senior Warehouse Specialist will collaborate closely with the Lead Warehouse Specialist, Warehouse Team Lead, and Site Manager to accomplish the daily warehouse tasks and ensure the secure, detailed, and timely delivery of products to our customers.

Responsibilities: Be safe by understanding and using the safety processes and procedures outlined in the Thermo Fisher Scientific Safety protocols. Gain proficiency in PPI Lean Leadership tools such as Daily Management Board, 5S, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and Kaizen Events. Strive for ongoing improvement in work process accuracy and efficiency. Accurately perform material handling processes required to receive, store, pick and ship material. Accurately perform the receiving inspections of inbound shipments and storage of products in designated warehouse locations. Accurately perform order picking functions and prepare orders for shipment including required inspections of sales order and shipping manifest. Accurately perform required warehouse tasks such as warehouse equipment maintenance and calibration, temperature control monitoring, pest control and housekeeping requirements as advised by the facility leadership. Minimum Qualifications:

Prefer More than 2 years of experience in warehousing and material handling HAZMAT shipping experience desirable Ability to effectively work well with other fields within the Company such as Customer Service, Quality, and Procurement. Have a "Customer Service" approach to relationships with internal and external associates Preferred Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent Forklift experience highly desirable, or must become forklift certified within 30 days of employment Physical ability to perform materials handling responsibilities including sitting, standing, bending, lifting/carrying up to 50lbs, walking, pushing/pulling, driving a forklift, and operating other warehouse equipment with or without reasonable accommodation Warehouse, RF Computer scan experience, computer competency, quality cycle counts, logistics scheduling LTL, shipping, receiving, inventory management.
