S³ Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager to join our Corporate Business Operations team at our corporate HQ in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL.

This is not a teleworking position. Duty site is 615 Discovery Drive, Huntsville, AL 35806.

Military experience is a plus, where other requirements are also present.

Job Description:

The Financial Manager (FM) will report to the CFO / Director of Finance as a key technical expert on Federal contractor financial analysis issues, reports, and special projects relative to the business plan, sales and profit guidelines, indirect expense budgets, chart accounts, and actual rates versus planned rates that support DCAA Accounting System audits. The FM interfaces with Business Unit management, responding to their requests for financial data, resolving reports and compliance issues. The FM prepares special reports and financial studies for management and identifies significant variances in actuals versus planned data. The FM coordinates, negotiate, and resolves financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation of reports. The FM conducts, audits, and supervises the work of lower level employees.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and/or review all expense and balance sheet account reconciliations for coding errors and discrepancies;* Validate trial balance for tax return preparation and financial statements audits by external accountants;* Review incurred cost submissions for accuracy;* Prepare company operating budgets and forward pricing projections;* Validate contract direct cost projections and business unit indirect cost budgets;* Prepare waterfall charts and other consolidated revenue/ profit projections and reports;* Resolve issues within billing for accurate invoicing, manage aged accounts receivable for collection through corrections and claims;* Analyze for price/cost for multiple contract types;* Train program control analyst on policies & procedures, staffing, and product quality;* Train others in Deltek Costpoint usage.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.* CPA or CMA (or CPA/CMA-candidacy) is required.* This role requires a minimum of 12 years financial analysis experience, as above.* Requires level 4 of 5 skills in Deltek Costpoint usage.* Requires a thorough knowledge of FAR/DFAR, Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR), CAS compliance, and other applicable government regulations. This is an Advanced level federal contract finance position.
