Position Summary: As the Operations Manager at Developlus, you will take a critical leadership role overseeing all aspects of production, compounding, inventory, shipping, receiving, and facilities management. Your primary focus will be ensuring operational efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in compliance with cGMP and Cal/OSHA regulations. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the facilities and equipment supporting these operations are properly maintained, safe, and operating efficiently. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will drive strategic planning, team development, and continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Compounding: Lead and manage production and compounding teams, ensuring accurate and timely manufacturing of products according to cGMP standards. Ensure consistent and precise formulation processes to maintain product quality and performance. Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to scale new formulations and refine existing ones. Continuously optimize production schedules to meet demand forecasts while minimizing downtime and maintaining product quality and safety. Facilities & Maintenance Management:

Oversee the management and maintenance of all physical facilities, including production, warehouse, and office spaces. Develop and implement a Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP) for all production equipment, ensuring compliance with Cal/OSHA regulations and minimizing downtime. Coordinate with external vendors for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of critical infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of quality and cost-effectiveness. Ensure the facility operates in compliance with environmental regulations, including proper disposal of hazardous waste and sustainable energy practices. Inventory, Shipping & Receiving:

Manage all inventory levels, ensuring optimal material availability while minimizing waste and storage costs. Oversee shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant deliveries to customers and suppliers. Develop strategies for efficient warehouse organization to support quick and accurate order fulfillment. Safety & Compliance:

Lead the management of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) in line with Cal/OSHA standards. Conduct regular safety audits, implement corrective actions, and ensure comprehensive employee training on personal protective equipment (PPE), hazardous materials, and machinery safety. Oversee compliance with GMP quality standards, ensuring that all products meet internal and regulatory requirements. Manage the reporting and documentation of workplace incidents in compliance with OSHA regulations, including OSHA Form 300 reporting for injuries. Continuous Improvement & Leadership:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production, facilities, inventory, shipping, and receiving to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety. Monitor and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for production output, safety, and operational performance, reporting progress to senior leadership. Foster a collaborative, inclusive environment that emphasizes employee development, open communication, and accountability. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, promoting cross-functional development and leadership growth. Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Manufacturing, or related field preferred. 8+ years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment, including strong experience in production, compounding, inventory, and facilities management. Proven expertise in cGMP and Cal/OSHA compliance. Strong leadership and team development skills, with a demonstrated ability to promote a culture of safety and quality. Experience with ERP systems (Sage X3 preferred) for resource planning, inventory management, and production scheduling.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: This role involves both office and production environments. Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and exposure to loud machinery, airborne particles, and other production environment factors are required.
