INNOVIM is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer to support North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
As a Kubernetes Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining secure and resilient Kubernetes environments for our application teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our platform is easy to use, reliable, and resistant to disruptions. By incorporating good DevSecOps practices, you will help improve the overall security and stability of our Kubernetes clusters. You will ensure that the platform enables application developers to deliver value while exceeding customer needs for stability and security.
**This position is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO**
Typical duties include the following:•Creation and sustainment of Kubernetes clusters•Installation, configuration, testing, and sustainment of DevSecOps tools•Integration and automation of the DevSecOps tools to enable CI/CD•Implementing automation in cluster and tool creation•Implementing process and procedures for utilizing the DevSecOps pipeline•Maintenance of the DevSecOps pipeline to ensure availability to the software developers•Rapid resolution of DevSecOps pipeline issues•Position may require at times, night and/or weekend work to maintain a secure and resilient system
The successful candidate will:•Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills•Detail oriented•Clearance: Active Secret•IAT Level II Certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)•6 or more directly related IT experience•7 years general work experience•3 or more years of experience working with containerized and/or cloud platforms and implementing DevSecOps practices•2 or more years of experience deploying and maintaining VMWare Tanzu clusters•Experience with containerization and microservices•Experience of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (IAC) principles•Experience working with Kubernetes
Desired Requirements:•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and over 5 years DevSecOps work experience•Experience Implemented CI/CD deployment pipelines for Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Kubernetes, re-factored software projects for integration in larger ecosystem of applications•Experience implementing DevSecOps in a container ecosystem•Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platforms, like Terraform and Ansible•Experience in Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration Environments•Experience implementing DevSecOps pipelines in a VMware Tanzu environment
