Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Supervisor leads the team members responsible for performing the day-to-day tasks in accordance with departmental and functional procedures, internal controls, and the accounting in accordance with US GAAP, Caesars policies and procedures, and applicable state and Federal regulations. Assist the department leadership in developing KPIs to aid in obtaining peak performance.

DIRECTLY SUPERVISES :AccountantKEY JOB FUNCTIONS :

Oversee a combination of professional and non-professional accounting staffReviews account reconciliations and journal entries ensuring compliance with existing controls, policies and procedures and GAAPCoordinate and review the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting processes to accurately record transactionsUnderstand the requirements and implementation of US GAAPOversee and review of work and monthly account reconciliations performed by team membersBe familiar with monthly and quarterly financial reports, including SEC filings and applicable disclosuresPrepare and/or review monthly deliverables, such as rollforward schedules, financial reporting support schedules, and legal/regulatory reportingExemplify the "Inspire Our Best" mission by contributing to a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfactionGet, guide and root for assigned team and accurately assess performance, provide support, training, mentoring, and development to staff on an ongoing basis to ensure the department performs at a maximum performance levelAssist manager in developing and leading regular training sessions to enhance department performanceAssist manager in creating and implementing strategic visionAssists staff in problem resolution and escalation to ensure accurate financial reportingAssist in promoting change management as the need arisesProvides manager with monthly metrics of assigned team noting key achievements and areas needing improvement. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.Proactively provides feedback to leadership on people, process, technology and complianceCoordinate the production of documents in response to requests from internal auditors, independent auditors, properties, and others, as necessaryPerform monthly analysis of applicable financial statement accounts for senior leadershipLead project from end to endPerform other job-related duties as requestedEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

3+ years of Accounting related experienceAt least 1+ year of supervisor experienceBA/BS degree in accounting or related degreePrefer CPA or advance degreePrefer gaming and/or entertainment industry experiencePrior experience with Oracle or similar ERP system and or subledger preferredQUALIFICATIONS:

Solid leadership skillsOrganized, with strong analytical skills and detail orientedAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet assigned deadlines as requiredAbility to adapt to new circumstances by understanding the changes and supporting management in communicating them in a positive mannerSolid communication skills, both written and verbal; able to actively participate in meetings and communicate with multiple levels of managementDevelop and maintain excellent relationships with other team members and department leadersAbility to understand processes, issues, and possible solutions, and be able to communicate the solutions appropriatelyActively participate in special project assignments and team building activitiesMust be a team player in a professional environmentUnderstanding of Internal Control over Financial Report (ICFR), GAAP and SOX requirementsMust have intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office applications, specifically ExcelProject management experience leading projects from start to completionAbility to appropriately manage confidential information.Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
