Overview:
TradeSmith is hiring a Database Architect to add to our growing company. The Data Architects role is focused on TradeSmith's data warehouse (Snowflake), and all secondary data systems. They will be working closely with our research and product team, data scientists and marketing analysts. Their role will involve data ETL work with a focus on supporting the BI, marketing, and copy team's data needs. Experience in data manipulation within AWS will help accelerate this position. They will have the ability to work with Cloud Infrastructure tools as well as Python on the programming side.Responsibilities:Work with key executives from multiple teams to understand problems, identify opportunities and present findingsEnhance and improve the data warehouseCreate ETL solutions to ensure that data is normalized and accessible at all timesExtract the data required from the data warehouse (Snowflake) or other systems as needed, either through direct SQL extracts or other frameworks provided such as Looker, Tableau, etc.Work with the BI and data science team to support their data needsQualifications:
BS or MS degree in Data Administration, Science, or related quantitative fieldMinimum 5 years work experience within Data Architecture roleHighly proficient in SQLPython coding experienceExcellent communication skillsFinance Technology background preferredComfortable with shifting priorities and a fast-paced work environmentSedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standingVisual acuity for reading and using the computerAbility to hearAbility to freely move about the office or remote working environmentAbility to use the phone/computer/keyboard/mouse/general office equipment for extended periods of timeAbility to communicate with others in order to exchange informationFluency in the English languageAbout TradeSmithTradeSmith is the leading Wealth Tech division of MarketWise.
