Ambulatory Clinical Informatics Analyst, RN Minimum Qualifications: Active licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Mississippi required. Degree or experience in clinical informatics or equivalent (ex. Nursing) required. Experience in healthcare informatics, quality reporting, quality improvement and/or data analysis required. Good customer service, written, verbal and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team; critical thinking, time management, organizational skills and EMR knowledge Minimum Requirements: Understanding of healthcare operations and systems; advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint & Microsoft Word Able to gather and process data and raw information from disparate sources and delve into data to discover discrepancies and patterns. Able to function effectively within an ever-changing environment; meet deadlines and reprioritize as necessary; navigate pertinent software, systems and databases utilized by the healthcare system; assist with multiple projects simultaneously and meet set deadlines and expectations Able to create data-based user-friendly feedback and remediation plans Responsibilities: The ambulatory clinical informatics analyst/RN will manage all technical aspects of EMR, execute reports, and disseminate regulatory and industry updates to support South Central Clinics EMR utilization and optimization. EMR Software Liaison: Help maintain software applications and databases for ambulatory clinics Work with Cerner/Oracle regulatory assistant to troubleshoot validation issues with eCQM and quality documentation crosswalk, transitioning to EPIC when appropriate. Support other staff members with troubleshooting and issues Assist with developing workflows to meet CMS requirements and commercial/industry standards Assist in developing EMR software and clinical workflow training materials Liaison between IT and clinical staff for EMR software/implementation and optimization Log SRs, follow to resolution and communicate results Develop, evaluate & maintain all aspects of EMR quality reports Assist in policy and procedure and/or documentation changes as needed to meet standards Keep current with new developments in processes, standards and software as it pertains to EMR. Assist with interdepartmental performance improvement activities Participate in internal teams to implement and evaluate process improvements Develop and prepare training tools, user manuals, and standard operating procedures in conjunction with other quality staff Perform regular system upgrades, quality control checks, and equipment maintenance to improve productivity and efficiency. Collaborate with management and internal teams to implement and evaluate improvements. Clinical Staff Education: Collaborate with team and peers to develop best-in-class training programs for clinical staff Assist in developing EHR clinical workflow training materials for ambulatory clinical staff Evaluate and makes recommendations regarding clinical processes and workflow for clinical staff Other duties as identified and assigned.
