Kratos is seeking a Government Contracts Administrator 3 who is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies or equipment for a business. Duties include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching possible item selections and taking inventory of current products. Procures materials or other goods and/or coordinates activities involved with purchasing products and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and advertising, for establishment. Receives and reviews requisitions requesting goods or services. Communicates with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items. Expedites orders and requests as needed. Estimates values according to knowledge of market price. Determines method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid. Prepares purchase orders or bid requests. Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority. Maintains procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories. Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action. Keeps abreast of market trends, changes in business practices in the assigned markets, new or altered types of materials entering the market, etc. May work with manufacturers or persuade potential vendors to undertake the manufacturing of custom-designed items according to user's specific needs and specifications. May approve invoices for payment. May expedite delivery of goods to users.
Responsible for management and administration of purchase orders and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures as well as FAR and DFAR (and other) applicable laws and regulations
Reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions, quotes, modifications, and other types of agreements
Respond to inquiries regarding purchase order obligations and revisions.
Review contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements.
Review NDAs
Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Work problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Build productive internal/external working relationships.
Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
Other job duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
2-4 years minimum of Government procurement experience
Experience with NDAs, proposals, contract administration, procurement and closeouts.
Strong Organization skills
Strong Communication and analytical skills
Ability to perform well in fast paced and deadline driven business environment
Positive Attitude
Ability to research, navigate and resolve issues independently
Computer Savvy
Preferred Skills and Experience
SharePoint Experience
Deltek Costpoint experience
Knowledge of Contractor Purchasing Systems Review (CPSR) Requirements
