The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides information technology leadership and support to the Georgia Institute of Technology, working in partnership with academic and business units to meet the unique needs of a leading research university. OIT serves as the primary source of enterprise-wide information technology and telecommunications services in support of students, faculty, staff, and researchers.

Job Summary

The Program Manager works with many levels of leadership and staff to manage program efforts based on industry best practices; works as the single point of contact for facilitation and communication of program goals, deliverables, and schedules, and must be an excellent communicator; various levels of documentation will be produced at each stage of the program and the program manager is often the person who creates these with input from others.

This position may supervise: Assigned StaffResponsibilities

Job Duty 1 -Provide senior leadership and direction to program management activities, including major organizational transformation efforts; maintain best practices for program management

Job Duty 2 -Analyze and evaluate proposals for scope of related work; determine the feasibility of proposals and provide or evaluate cost-benefit analysis as appropriate

Job Duty 3 -Demonstrate an advanced competency in business analysis and organizational change management

Job Duty 4 -May serve as a member of the senior leadership team; participate in thought leadership with unit or institute decision-makers

Job Duty 5 -Lead integrated logistics support and/or quality assurance activities

Job Duty 6 -Develop, monitor, and implement budget(s) for the program's effective operation

Job Duty 7 -Participate in the strategic planning process and provide input into strategic decisions for unit(s)

Job Duty 8 -Conducts staff recruitment, selection, and evaluation

Job Duty 9 -Perform other job-related duties assignedResponsibilities

Duties may include but are not limited to:Lead and manage cybersecurity research programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.Develop and implement strategic plans for research initiatives, including setting goals, timelines, and budgets.Ensure all research activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.Prepare and present regular reports on research progress, findings, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.Oversee all CMMC and other Research Security Program activities. Collaborating with key stakeholders to determine relevant in-scope controls, to identifying significant changes that warrant special handling, to following significant change processes.Work toward process improvement and enhance capability maturity, performing redesign and developing plans, requirements, and compliance specifications for automation.Develop and maintain the calendar of compliance requirements for assigned identified control owners.Collaborate with a range of stakeholders from individual contributors to senior leadership to external parties including Gov/Agency Partners and/or Third-Party Security Assessors.Drive activities related to the remediation of regulated research (e.g., CMMC) requirements Gaps, technical security, and compliance risks with cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to, engaging third party services, leading meetings, assigning, and tracking work items, producing reports, and escalating risks and issues.Financial management of the regulated research (e.g., CMMC) program to ensure maximization of investments to ensure security while increasing support for research activities.Perform other related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
