Department Information
The SimTigrate Design Lab is seeking a dedicated Center Manager to support our mission of shaping the future of healthcare through evidence-based design (EBD). As an interdisciplinary research lab, we focus on improving healthcare outcomes by measuring, quantifying, and documenting the effects of the built environment on healthcare processes. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage projects, support interdisciplinary teams, and ensure our research runs smoothly and efficiently.
Job Summary
Manage administrative operations of a major research center, to include the budget, various financial tasks, personnel, procurement activities, administrative support, grant proposal processing and literary/publication assignments. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: center management, faculty, staff, students, sponsoring agencies. This position typically will advise and counsel: center management. This position will supervise: center office staff.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Coordinate budget/personnel oversight, to include immigration document preparation, and procurement of supplies and equipment.Job Duty 2 -
Perform and oversee financial operational duties related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, payroll and inventory.Job Duty 3 -
Make arrangements for meetings, conferences and seminars and staff travel.Job Duty 4 -
Supervise processing mail of and miscellaneous correspondence; maintain filing system.Job Duty 5 -
Process grant proposals.Job Duty 6 -
Organize, maintain, and archive peer reviewed journal articles.Job Duty 7 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required ExperienceThree to four years of job related experience
Proposed Salary
Salary Range: $23.02 - 31.30
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLSThis job requires working knowledge of office management processes and procedures including those related to accounting/finance, grant and proposal processing and general administration. Skills in supervision, organization and communications are required as well as use of office related computer applications.
