We are seeking a motivated person to join the Regulatory Reporting Team. This person will provide support and analysis of all external and internal regulatory reporting requirements.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Preparation of daily net capital estimatesAssist in the preparation of the monthly management review package and FOCUS report. Specific responsibilities include:review classifications for proper regulatory treatmentprepare and analyze the GSCO monthly capital estimate vs. actual comparisonprepare and review operational chargesanalyze and explain variancesassist in projects that help streamline current workflowsassist in automation initiativesPrepare various reports to be sent to senior management summarizing specific Net Capital information.Desire to drive initiatives/projects to improve processes, procedures and workflowDesire to solve day to day analytical challenges leveraging various data analysis toolsDesire to become proficient in rule requirements impactful to the entity
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred3 + years of related experience in public accounting or financial services firm required; knowledge of SEC Rules preferredCommitted to a career in financial servicesAbility to work in a team under pressureAbility to interact and build relationships with people from different departments and levels of seniorityAbility to use initiative and work accurately with minimum supervisionSolid Knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop applicationsExcellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skillsExperience or interest in automation using code

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this Jersey City, New Jersey, United States-based position is $85000-$140000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
