The successful candidate will join a team responsible for supporting the Private Equity and Debt valuation process across various pockets of the Asset Management Division, The candidate will also have oversight of financial disclosures relating to the level 3 valuation process and have direct interaction with the Partner/Managing Director level.RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:Principal ResponsibilitiesOversight/Reporting of valuation for private equity, debt and real estate positions including ability to develop independent valuation modelsInvolvement in third party valuation processesInteraction with portfolio managersEnsure correct levels of control and independence are in place including design and implementation of strategic automation efforts around level 3 valuationInvolved in internal/external auditor discussions around level 3 assets
Experience / Skills
Degree in Finance / Accounting, CFA preferred8-10+ years relevant work experience (public and / or private)Comprehensive understanding of Private Equity and Private Debt valuations, including in depth knowledge of market approach, DCF, liquidation approach and complex capital structure equity allocation (OPM).Strong understanding of the fixed income and equities markets and the alternative investment management industryStrong knowledge of valuation related accounting disclosures (ASU 2011-4, ASC 820 etc).Strong management and interpersonal (verbal and written communication) skills, including experience presenting/communicating with senior managersStrong analytical and organizational skillsResults driven and great multitasking skills
