Summary About CivicSpark CivicSpark is a national AmeriCorps program focused on building capacity of local government agencies and community organizations to address pressing community resilience issues including climate change, public health and the social determinants of health. The fellowship program provides a launchpad for more than 100 young professionals per year who are seeking careers in the public health, environmental and sustainability sectors. Since 2014, nearly 1,000 Fellows have provided over one million hours of service to more than 300 local public agencies through over 1,000 projects. CivicSpark currently operates in three states: California, Colorado, and Washington, with expansion to additional states anticipated in 2025. About the Position The Public Health Institute's CivicSpark fellowship program is seeking a Program Implementation Coordinator. This position reports to a Program Implementation Manager and supports day-to-day coordination and execution of a variety of tasks involved with administering the CivicSpark fellowship program, focusing on direct fellow support and including training, event planning, recruitment, operations and communications. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and project management skills with a growth mindset, and the ability to learn and apply new skills. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved and build expertise in program management and development of an AmeriCorps program, particularly in the fields of climate change, water resource management, affordable housing, and mobility. This is a regular, full-time, remote position that is required to travel in Washington, Colorado, California, and other states identified as potential expansion areas. Based on the CivicSpark fellowship program's business needs, candidates in the state of Washington are strongly preferred, followed by candidates who are based in Colorado and then in California. The individual hired for this position must be based in one of these three states. Full salary range for this position: $62,968, to $90,167. The typical hiring range for this position is from $62.968 (minimum) to $76,568 (midpoint). The starting salary is determined based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, as well as budget availability. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Fellow Support: Direct Fellow support is the primary function of this role and will represent 60-70 percent of the Program Implementation Coordinator's time. Provide overarching and direct support to a cohort of 20-30 fellows on project implementation, site expectations, project and professional goal setting, program reporting, and case management. Support administrative processes for Fellows. Training: Assist the CivicSpark Program Implementation Team with facilitating virtual fellow training, network calls, and other activities. Assist with developing fellow training materials and the overall training curriculum, including PowerPoint slides, virtual meeting coordination and data and research analysis.
