Mandarich Law Group, LLP is one of the country's leading creditor's right law firm with offices across the US. We are currently seeking an Associate Attorney for document review in cases arising out of consumer debt. Experienced and newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do:
Review drafted pleadings for suits, default judgments, and garnishments for accuracy and attorney e-signature.
Complete the appropriate compliance checklists for each document type reviewed to maintain and record meaningful attorney involvement in keeping with all client requirements.
Being pro-active in identifying areas of concern and escalating accordingly for problem resolution.
Drafting new suit documents as needed to accommodate placements of additional debt types from clients.
Completing client surveys as needed regarding the following: Ohio Statutes, Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure, and Ohio Small Claims Rules.
Assisting legal support staff with providing directives as needed to effectuate the legal/litigation process.
Occasionally, you will be assigned mediations, case management conferences, trials, or pre-trials as needed to ensure all firm appearances are covered.
What You'll Need:
Licensed in the State of Ohio to practice law. Additional licensing in other states (MO, IA, NE, ID, CA, WA, OR, AK, HI, NV) is a plus.
Comfortable appearing in court and the ability to appear on time consistently using your own method of transportation. Must have valid drivers license.
Multi-tasking and strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory for a high-volume case load.
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Proficient with Adobe PDF
Travel may be required, the firm reimburses in accordance with IRS published mileage rates, and other firm approved travel expenses will be reimbursed the subsequent pay period following submittal for reimbursement.
