House of Hope, a nonprofit organization, is looking for an outgoing, experienced, and detailed-oriented, Development Assistant to join our team! Your position involves overseeing processes in place to manage fundholder and volunteer relationships while ensuring delivery of impeccable donor and volunteer services.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
· Bachelor’s with experience in development preferred.
· Experience working with substance abuse population preferred.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and tasks.
· Able to make simple calculations and the ability to analyze problems.
· Strong interpersonal communication skills.
· Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Computer Literate
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Attending and participating in development planning meetings
· Manage gift acknowledgement process and produce donor letters.
· Work closely with the Finance department on incoming gift processes.
· Assist with researching, identifying, analyzing, and recommending applicable grant funding opportunities from government agencies.
· Assist with managing grant database, funder research files, grant application deadlines and reporting schedules for tracking grant information.
· Assist with clerical tasks.
· Other duties as assigned.
