Connect current and prospective philanthropic partners with the mission and vision of NCCER. Demonstrate meaningful impact on mission delivery through philanthropy.

Position Purpose:

The Partnerships and Donor Relations Manager will ensure current supporters of NCCER have a best-in-class experience and work to build new philanthropic relationships. The Partnerships and Donor Relations Manager will serve as a critical contact point for all funders to acknowledge and steward contributions to the organization. Working with the Director and the marketing team, the position will lead communications initiatives for the department to highlight giving opportunities, demonstrate the impact of philanthropy through testimonials, and ensure funders' expectations are fulfilled regarding partnership promotions on NCCER channels. The role will also take an active role in prospecting work to identify new philanthropic partnership opportunities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Philanthropic Relationship Management

Work with the Director to identify funding opportunities from organizations where CSR goals and missions overlap with NCCER's mission, vision, and funding priorities.Participate in exploratory conversations with potential donors to vet applicability of philanthropic partnership.Establish a system to track grant due dates, report dates, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with funder needs.Manage a prospect list of 25-50 organizations, corporations, or individuals at all stages of the donor lifecycle.Manage stewardship reporting for all donors to NCCER.Working with the Director, design and deliver a stewardship program to elevate the visibility of philanthropy, internally and externally promoting the value of partnering with NCCER.Gift Processing and Acknowledgment

Working with the Director, IT, and Finance, manage a prospect and gift tracking process in Salesforce to facilitate reporting and manage philanthropic relationships.Record and acknowledge all philanthropic contributions to NCCER, as required by law and gift agreements.Serve as the key partner to the finance team to record and reconcile all philanthropic related financial statements, ensuring accuracy and transparency.Ensure the timely delivery of all gift acknowledgement letters for all gifts made to the organization.Produce monthly reports on gifts received, pledges, and prospect status relative to the donor lifecycle.Philanthropic Communications

Working with the Director and marketing team, shape departmental communications to support the needs of donors, increase the visibility of NCCER's mission through storytelling.Annually update all gift acknowledgement communications.Write grant proposals to generate philanthropic support for NCCER as requested.Collaborate with video team and internal stakeholders to leverage existing storytelling opportunities to collect philanthropic related testimonials and videos.Additional Responsibilities

Participate in ongoing professional development to expand understanding trends in philanthropy including best practices in stewardship and prospect development workTravel to events to represent NCCER or collect communications material, as requested.Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in fundraising
