Summary:

The purpose of the Head of Operational Excellence (Southeast division) role is to drive and support a standardized approach to Operational Excellence across the MGF organization. The role will be crucial to drive standardization, optimize the MOS, improve metrics (page0 and input) including data products, drive network optimization initiatives and other Operational Excellence efforts.

Job Description:

Drive standardized Operational Excellence across the Southeast Division for Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) Operations organization to ensure process alignment, standardization and network optimization. Continuously ensure that metrics for the MGF operations organization is up to date and represent reality. Own the operating expenses to support the teams locally and ensure that we move in a direction of structurally solved challenges rather than fire-fighting. Support the different areas within the divisional network with adopting new tools, processes and guidelines. Identify and provide requirements across MGF for data products to support the different user-groups and ensure adoption of new data products. Collect feedback from various departments and subject matter experts to ensure that the engagement model is continuously improved Support the Learning and Development Lead in identifying core capabilities for our teams across MGF. Upskill the organization based on co-created competency assessment with leaders, which is aligned with the overall capability matrix. Drive key operational improvement processes at Stations and HUBs. Support communicates in building communication plans for transformation roadmap & change load. Own Linehaul and Stations network optimization and expansion design. Own Cartage optimization, establish framework to measure and performance management structure as part of MOS. Attain Regional Operations Excellence/Continuous Improvement annual savings targets. Implement Continuous Improvement Initiatives in the region. Develop and implement standards, monitor compliance and identify and correct quality issues. Close collaborate with P&L owners on requirements and optimization potential. Leverage global best-practices from other products to standardization and high quality. Skills and Responsibilities:

A minimum of 6 years of experience in the industry. Able to drive change management. Not afraid of challenging status quo and senior stakeholders. Experienced facilitator. Data driven approach. Hands on Lean experience. Able to lead without authority. Possess a can-do attitude and can drive results. Team oriented and actively involved in team engagement across different locations.
