This role will drive the strategy for data systems, partner closely with data engineering and backend services engineering teams, and develop a roadmap to ensure that our data moves through the lifecycle in accurate, secure, and efficient ways, while maximizing value for our business. If you are a detail-oriented systems-thinker who is passionate about creating data solutions at scale, we want to hear from you! /divdivbr/divdivWe’ll trust you to:/divdivulliDefine the vision, roadmap, and drive execution for data systems, partnering closely with stakeholders in engineering, product, analytics, marketing, legal/compliance, customer service, and more. /liliTranslate business requirements into creative, effective data solutions for the subscriptions and advertising businesses. /liliOwn the roadmap for user data capabilities, including new feature development of our User Data Systems, to drive data accuracy and enable value-generating use cases that leverage user data across the organization. /liliSupport organizational efforts toward data governance, including improvements to our data policies and roles, data quality, data privacy amp; security, and data access. /liliOwn relevant legal/compliance/data privacy projects to enhance our data privacy program and meet and exceed our commitment to user privacy. /liliClearly communicate plans, insights, data, and results to a wide spectrum of audiences. /liliDemocratize data through its lifecycle, ensuring data moves seamlessly and efficiently from collection to storage, to usage and activation, through internal and external platforms and systems, to better our products and measure the impact of our work. /li/ul/divdivbr/divdivYou’ll need to have: /divdivulliMinimum 3 years’ experience building big data solutions with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform/BigQuery, AWS, ETL pipelines, Airflow, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Trino to meet business, market, and user needs. /liliExtreme attention to detail, with proven experience leading data migrations, data ingress/egress solutions, data privacy projects, launching new data platforms/products, enhancing data governance efforts, and enabling analytics tooling capabilities. /liliA strong bias toward action, able to break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. /liliExcellent people skills and an expert collaborator, ability to work effectively with both direct and indirect teams, gaining consensus and stakeholder buy-in and getting things done in a complex organization. /liliClear communication and be a data evangelist, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and creating a feedback loop. /liliDeep experience with making data-informed decisions, strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in data analysis including SQL or Python, and defining metrics to back up assumptions and feature concepts. /liliSystems thinking, able to zoom out at the ecosystem level to assess broader business needs while being equally comfortable diving into the details and developing solutions at the granular level. /liliTechnical acumen, with experience contributing to architectural engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product. /liliEmpathy for our users, and a high level of integrity./li/ul/divdivbrIF THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOU:/divdivApply if you think were a good match.
