Fleet Dispatcher
in the
Reserve, LA
office. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently designing and expediting tows, coordinating the movement of barges in the fleet. Successful Dispatchers are detail oriented and have strong organizational, logistical, and analytical skills. They can evaluate situations, make decisions quickly and move on to the next item on the agenda. The ideal candidate works well across teams, is willing to learn and grow, and exercises good judgment.What you'll be doing:Coordinating the efficient movement of barges in and out of the fleetsAssisting with the management of fleeting operationsCollaborating with internal and external departmentsAssisting in the management of fleet barge capacityMaintaining accurate data collection, entry, and reporting into production systems such as FMS, iLog, UTMCustomer, vendor and facility visitsProviding emergency coverage, when needed for the Gulf fleets.Participating in local harbor groupsInterfacing with related government agencies as per IBCO policy and proceduresUpdating and maintaining reports and systemsQualifications
Bachelor's degree preferredIndustry knowledge preferredStrong organizational, logistical, and analytical skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAcute attention to detailProficient in Microsoft OfficeExcellent decision making and problem-solving skillsAdaptable to changing situationAbility to work flexible work hours to accommodate business needsHighly organized and detailed oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneouslySchedule:Day shift7/76:00AM-6:00PMAdditional Information
