Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Data Analyst to support our product development team. If you have a passion for using data to shape the future of software products and thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, this position is a great fit.
Job Summary: In this role, you will drive data-informed decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and visualizing key product data. You will be responsible for identifying trends, automating data processes, and providing actionable insights that influence product strategy and drive measurable results. This is a new position, and you will be laying the foundations for our data analytics processes, building out automation, and developing initial dashboards and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with Product Managers and Engineering leaders to define product goals and KPIs, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
Use Amplitude and other analytics tools to track user behavior, product performance, and feature usage.
Extract and analyze datasets from MongoDB to identify patterns, trends, and areas of opportunity.
Automate data collection and reporting processes to streamline analysis and ensure accuracy.
Develop and maintain advanced dashboards using Tableau and Looker to visualize product performance and communicate key insights to stakeholders.
Lead in-depth analysis of product data, identifying user behaviors and trends that impact feature adoption and product outcomes.
Analyze A/B tests to measure the effectiveness of product changes and optimize performance.
Provide recommendations on product enhancements based on data-driven insights and monitor the ROI of product initiatives.
Collaborate with the engineering team to improve data infrastructure and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Lead the automation of recurring reports and deep-dive analyses to provide ongoing visibility into product metrics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a data analysis role, with a strong focus on software products or technology.
Proficiency with Amplitude and other product analytics tools.
Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases for querying and manipulating large datasets.
strong experience with Tableau and/or Looker for building and maintaining high-quality data visualizations and dashboards.
Proven ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and deliver actionable recommendations.
Experience automating data collection, reporting, and dashboard generation.
Experience with A/B testing methodologies and statistical analysis to measure product performance.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation is a plus.
