If you’re an experienced software or solutions architect with a background in enterprise software development and a mind for growth and creativity, Parsons has an opportunity for you! As part of the Parsons Space Operations team, you will be driving the technical vision for pursuits of high profile, enterprise scale opportunities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to stay on top of the latest developments in the areas of cloud engineering, DevSecOps and software engineering while using your creativity to develop game changing solutions to problems that have major implications for our national security. You’ll also build a solid understanding of Parsons space related capabilities and combine that with your knowledge and experience to develop comprehensive, differentiated solutions that solve these customer challenges.
This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO. Remote work is not available.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather goals and objectives, identify gaps and develop differentiated solutions that solve mission needs
Support enterprise-wide growth strategies and initiatives aimed at differentiation of services and delivery, increased competitiveness, and industry thought leadership
Establish and maintain relationships with customers and industry partners to understand mission needs and articulate capabilities
Research and understand technology trends, particularly in the areas of agile software development, cloud technologies, and continuous integration/continuous development (CI/CD)
Develop technical content for proposals, white papers and related materials in support of government solicitations and conferences
Represent Parsons at conferences, industry days, meetings with customers and industry partners, etc.
Perform product and capability demonstrations for customers and industry partners as needed
Provide technical inputs and mission perspective to inform corporate strategy and investments
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline and minimum 10 years of relevant experience
Experience working with technologies such as Agile software development, DevSecOps, containers, cloud migration, cloud native technologies and cybersecurity
Experience designing, building, and delivering software solutions, preferably in the space domain awareness or space C2 mission areas
Knowledge of cloud-native and microservice architecture concepts and principles
Experience developing technology strategies and/or roadmaps
Ability to innovate and provide thought leadership in software systems and architectures
Ability to rapidly absorb technical information, extract pertinent information, incorporate it into higher level technical approaches and articulate those concepts in winning proposals
Possess strong written and oral communication skills, including excellent presentation skills; ability to confidently interact with executives, GOs and other senior government leadership
Ability to represent the company favorably, develop new clients, and to negotiate with key members of other firms
US Person with ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated experience with solutioning and proposal development for government solicitations in one or more of the following technical areas: enterprise software systems, cloud architectures, software factories and systems integration
Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, NiFi, Hadoop, AWS/C2S, Microsoft Azure
Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility

Salary Range:
$126,600.00 - $227,900.00
