Target hiring range for this position will be between be $51,346 to $64,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.Job Summary:Administers and manages the intake process and intake database for the Center on Wrongful Convictions (CWC), housed within Northwestern Pritzker School of Law's Bluhm Legal Clinic. Oversees the CWC's outreach and programming operations, assessing feasibility and ongoing performance. Provides day-to-day oversight of administrative and operational functions.The program/project is summarized below. (Definitions: Program: plan or system of taking action toward a goal. Project: planned actions with specified beginning & end.)The CWC Program Coordinator (PC) will support the CWC's mission to free wrongfully convicted people in areas including intake, community and supporter outreach, communications, financial processes, and internal law school relationships. The PC primarily administers the CWC's intake system, processing a large volume of written requests for counsel annually. The PC will assess and identify opportunities to streamline the intake process. The PC will utilize Salesforce cloud-based software, on which intake files are stored, to collate and analyze data from Salesforce to support casework and other projects within the CWC. Additional duties include but are not limited to: plan and manage intake-related projects, e.g. the pro bono law firm project; under the direction of CWC leadership, develop and disseminate social media communications and CWC updates; and general operational support, i.e., managing invoices and financial processes for the CWC and providing support as needed for events and programming.Areas of responsibility:AdministrationFinancialCommunicationsEventsGrants/ContractsOutreachPlease note:

The Bluhm Legal Clinic is a hybrid workplace. Staff may work from home two days per week during the academic year, and three days per week during the summer months. :AdministrationManages day to day operations.Ensures that program/project mission, values, guidelines, policies & procedures are implemented & maintained.Manages design and development of program databases; compiles & analyzes data; prepares reports.Reviews processes and recommends changes to incorporate state-of-the-art technology as appropriate into administrative, recruitment, marketing, and educational components.Identifies service improvement opportunities that will better enable program/project to achieve its goals and objectives.Acts as liaison to IT to ensure technology systems are properly installed & maintained.Communication, Outreach & RecruitmentIncorporates social media and networking into program/project aspects as appropriate.EventsCoordinates programming, educational, student, alumni, workshops, meetings, etc. including speakers, agendas, etc.Ensures that event details including communication, venues, presenters, travel arrangements, materials, refreshments and technology are arranged and completed in an appropriate and timely manner.Grants & ContractsPrepares proposals; provides administrative guidance for grant preparations including budgets and justifications.MiscellaneousPerforms other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.1 year program/project administration or other relevant experience.Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)Experience utilizing SalesForce or similar cloud-based operations software to manage and track data.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 suite (especially Word, Excel, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat. Skilled in utilizing Outlook for scheduling and bulk e-mails.Experience drafting social media posts and monitoring social media accounts.Strong oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be proactive in problem solving.Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines with excellent attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction and manage long-term processes and project while meeting key deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:Three or more years program/project administration or other relevant experience.Experience managing an intake process in a law school clinic or other nonprofit setting.Experience updating websites through content management system.Benefits:At Northwestern, we are proud to provide meaningful, competitive, high-quality health care plans, retirement benefits, tuition discounts and more!
