Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all financial information is complete and accurate for timely internal and external financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables
Perform detail reviews of all disclosure support prior to filing
Responsible for assisting with all aspects of SEC reporting for certain filers including completion of disclosure checklists, data gathering, discussing comments on various filing documents and review of XBRL tagging
Maintain strong working knowledge of relevant SEC rules and regulations and U.S. GAAP guidance
Identify opportunities to automate SEC Reporting in order to reduce our reliance on Excel and manual spreadsheets
Research accounting/reporting issues and develop support for selected accounting treatments
Monitor, assess and implement new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company and transactions
Ensure processes associated with the pulling and presentation of information are well documented and meet the minimum requirements of SOX 404
Coordinate and manage SOX 404 documentation requests from Internal Audit and External audit
Ultimately manage the preparation of financial statements for routine SEC filings for certain filers
Support ad hoc requests, as required
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
MAC/MBA/CPA preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Financial Audit or External Reporting, including prior experience in Public Accounting with SEC Registered clients or experience preparing key SEC filings, including, but not limited to, forms 10-K, 10-Q, MD&A, footnote disclosures, etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statements required; strong interest in technical US GAAP, including a solid foundation in accounting analysis and ability to read and understand US GAAP guidance
Strong analytical and communication skills
Knowledge of financial concepts beyond accounting
Ability to be detailed oriented while thinking strategically
Ability to work in a fast paced, and rapidly growing environment
Advanced/expert experience with Microsoft Excel
Ability to work with multiple employee groups, including the executive level
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year
