Overview of the Program – Meal ServiceThis volunteer opportunity includes serving the meal from behind the line (cafeteria style), assisting clients with mobility challenges, bussing trays, and cleaning up at the end of the meal. On some occasions, volunteers may be recruited to help with food preparation in the kitchen. During service, you'll get a break of about 15 minutes to enjoy the delicious meal being served. All volunteers will complete an e-check-in form prior to the service date.Days of the Week Volunteers are NeededEvery Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and ThursdayTime Commitment11:00am – 2:00pmWe ask all volunteers to be available for the entirety of the 3-hour time commitment.Please plan to have your team arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your start time.Number of Volunteers Needed5 minimum/10 maximumWe recommend recruiting a few extra folks to account for last-minute cancellations.Tasks

– When your team arrives, the volunteer manager will assign everyone to a specific task.Serving the meal from behind the line (cafeteria style).Assisting clients with mobility challenges.Bussing trays.Cleaning up at the end of the meal.LocationGMHC – 307 West 38th Street between 8th and 9th AvenueThere is no contribution requirement. However, we welcome a contribution and have a suggested donation of $500-1000.
