The ideal candidate must possess strong civil litigation knowledge, excellent calendaring and organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well independently within a busy office environment.Essential Job Functions and DutiesEditing and finalizing legal documents, letters, and reportsManual Calendaring (Outlook)Filing with state and federal courts (including e-filing)General administrative duties such as answering phones, expense reports, travel arrangements and managing attorneys' schedulesManage work for multiple cases and multiple attorneysWork independently as well as support team effortsMinimum RequirementsMust be an experienced litigation legal secretary with minimum of 5 years of experienceMust have thorough knowledge of state and federal court filing requirements including experience with e-filingMust have strong knowledge of calendaring (i.e. state and federal court rules, dates and procedures) without the use of a calendaring programStrong technical skills (Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Able to prepare TOA's and TOC's in Word.Experience preparing legal documents including motions (MSJs), discovery, pleadings and judicial council formsGreat communication skills and extremely organizedFamiliarity with iManage, Coyote Analytics, Westlaw - Deadline Assistant, and PACERAbility to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneouslyAbility to work under pressureAbility to handle constructive criticismAbility to work independently with little supervision, and still get the job doneTeam playerTech SavvyQuick, efficient and excellent attention to detailAbility to interact with co-workers to achieve a common goalDesire to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibilityStrong work ethicFull-Time: 40 hours a week (In-office required.
