Through evidence-based, goal-centered, professionally supported programming, BBBS of NYC provides consistent support and guidance to matches that result in longer, stronger match relationships that advance young people's social-emotional development and academic progress across the five boroughs.JOB SUMMARY:BBBS of NYC seeks a Per-Diem Interviewer, who will assist with the Volunteer screening process. The individual will conduct volunteer interviews and complete clinical assessments to assess volunteer appropriateness for the program. Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends. Candidates must have internet connection and computer capabilities (with functional microphone & camera) and quiet, private space in which to conduct virtual interviews.Per-Diem Interviewers will be paid a $75 flat fee per completed assessment.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct thorough interviews of adult volunteers.Write clinical assessments and review for recommendationUtilize BBBS of NYC Case Management Manual, training(s) and ongoing group supervision for eligibility criteria for recommendationProvide BBBS of NYC program-related information and educate volunteers on program structureFollow BBBS of NYC child safety guidelines, working closely with our Child Safety Officer and make required reports and referrals as neededConnect to supervisor via email and phone for follow up questions as neededAttend quarterly group supervision meetings for ongoing training and supportProvide a self-built schedule each month, providing a minimum of 10 interviews, contributing to the growth of BBBS of NYCRequirementsREQUIREMENTS:Education:
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Services or Social Work or related fieldExperience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience conducting interviews and writing clinical assessmentsSkills:
Strong clinical interviewing, assessment writing and computer skillsAVAILABILITY:WEEKEND AND EVENING AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED.
Additionally, interviewers are required to provide availability to conduct a minimum of
10
