We support IT organizations by bringing precision technology and operation models that achieve mission capabilities and performance success.Job Title: Data Scientist (Mid)Job Summary: We are seeking an intermediate-level Data Scientist to perform extensive data analysis on large datasets to develop insights, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to understand project objectives, perform data mining, data cleaning, and aggregation, and implement data models. This role will involve working with structured and unstructured data sources using programming, statistical, and analytical techniques. The Data Scientist will also support cloud computing initiatives, including developing automation solutions and enabling scientific cloud workflows.Key Responsibilities:Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

Perform data mining, cleaning, and aggregation to prepare data for analysis and model implementation.

Develop and implement data models, conduct analysis, and interpret results using statistical techniques.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the objectives and focus of data analysis projects.

Design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions to support organizational objectives.

Contribute to cloud computing initiatives, including automated self-service portals, cloud module development, and integration support for scientific computing.

Assist with cloud security operations by supporting the validation of security vulnerabilities and maintaining necessary security documentation.

Provide data analysis and insights to support decision-making for cloud environments, including usage, cost, and workload rationalization.

Support cloud workload migration projects by performing infrastructure assessments and assisting in business case development.

Collaborate with product management and development teams to support data-driven decisions for cloud platforms and products.

Qualifications:Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

2-4 years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data mining.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and experience with data visualization tools.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with GitHub API integrations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance standards such as NIST and FISMA.

Experience in cloud computing, scientific workflows, and automation.

Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (AD) and GitHub automation tools.

Experience in cloud enablement and workload migration for scientific computing environments.

Knowledge of federal security and compliance standards.

The projected compensation range for this position is $98,100 to $135,750 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary is 114,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
