We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Principal Global Portfolio Manager to join our team. This role involves leading the strategic development and execution of new product initiatives from concept to commercialization across multiple product lines. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Regulatory Affairs, to drive the successful launch and market adoption of our innovative solutions. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring junior team members, while continuously evaluating and optimizing existing processes to drive efficiency and improve outcomes.

What you will do
Lead the collection and synthesis of competitive intelligence to inform strategic direction.
Proactively anticipate customer and patient needs to shape a value proposition.
Collaborate with key opinion leaders and clinical experts to gain deep product and market insights.
Continuously optimize value propositions through direct and data-driven customer understanding.
Utilize market research and industry data to pinpoint emerging trends, enhancing strategic insights.
Synthesize historical and current data to provide a robust foundation for market analysis and future forecasting.
Conduct comprehensive forecasting to predict sales trends
Collaborate cross-departmentally to lead the new product development (NPD) process.
Build financial business case model to support NDP funding and ROI.
Deliver business objectives, marketing objectives, and lead the discovery process for pre-commercialization plans.
Maximize NPD and launch planning by leveraging core competencies and strategic assets.
Partner with Clinical Affairs to propose research objectives for evidence generation (Clinical studies, research papers, etc.).
Authors key strategy documents: strategic plan, annual marketing plan, product launch plans, etc.
Translate the marketing plan to specific marketing activities to carry out the plan.
Understand the costs of acquiring new customers vs. retaining current customers.
Target customers based on total market potential and opportunity.
Evaluate potential sources of new volume and financial trade-offs within and outside current customer segments.
Define performance criteria used for evaluating business trends and activities.
Collaborate with your downstream counterpart to develo a product lifecycle management (PLCM) plan as it relates to the overall business and launch strategy.
Create and communicate a value proposition.
Build product pricing consistent with the Marketing Strategy and brand positioning, along side your downstream counter part.
Adhere to organizational protocols, practices and procedures for gathering competitive information.
Hold self and others accountable to deliver high quality results with passion, energy, and drive to meet business priorities.
Mentor, develop and inspire others
Develop key relationships with industry/market thought leaders, organizations, and institutions, in collaboration with other marketing leaders.
What you need
Bachelor’s degree required.
MBA preferred.
8+ years of work experience required.
3+ years medical device or marketing/sales experience required.
Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines.
Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority.
Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies.
Prior understanding of Ischemic stroke space is preferred
Prior global marketing experience required
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
$112,800 - $239,900 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
