Job Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee our large-scale solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, preferably in the renewable energy sector, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and closure of utility-scale solar projects
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets
Manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with various stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, construction, and external partners
Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
Oversee contractor and vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and manage performance
Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies
Ensure compliance with relevant California regulations, safety standards, and company policies
Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients
Mentor junior project team members and contribute to the overall growth of the project management office
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in project management, with at least five years in renewable energy or related industries
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred
PMP certification or equivalent
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale energy projects, preferably solar or other renewables
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
Excellent understanding of Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Construction (EPLC) processes
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Superior leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
In-depth knowledge of California energy regulations and sustainability practices
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with utility-scale solar projects in California
Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and permitting processes
Knowledge of emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector
Experience with agile project management methodologies
