AECOM is seeking a

Senior Renewable Energy Consultant

to lead projects for utility clients. The PM would manage execution, including project and construction management for renewable energy projects. This is a part-time/on call position.Responsibilities

Contribute to the decarbonization of California’s energy mix by resolving the issues and challenges inherent in developing, permitting, contracting, constructing and operating renewable generation and storage projects.Manage multidiscipline teams in developing renewable generation projects (wind, solar, hydro, geothermal & BESS). The development process includes prospecting for sites, developing a land position, evaluating the resource, determining required permits, managing the interconnection process, economic modeling and optimization, contracting strategy, management of outside resources (contractors), bidding the project or supporting Energy Trading and Contracts in the bidding process for PPA’s, project management, engineering review and commissioning of the project.Provide strategic input to grow the renewable energy business including permitting, environmental services, technical consulting services, engineering and design and decarbonization advisory services.Conduct administrative tasks: monthly staff and project review meetings, annual reviews, edit job descriptions, participate in interview panels, recruit new staff, and manage low-performing staff.Lead and manage programs that are medium to large in size and complexity or a defined part of a larger program, in support of the overall Program Manager.Provide the organization with technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery at a regional level.Advocate for ethical and safe working practices.Contribute to innovation in program management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation.Work with Regional leadership and Market Sector Leaders to identify new business opportunities and develop solutions to address them.Identify areas of high risk and proactively take actions to positively impact program outcomes.Assess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertise. Propose skill development approaches and workforce planning to deliver capabilities for the future.Actively support the attraction and retention of talent across area of expertise.Accountable for overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management agreement.Actively manage large and small Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind, BESS, Hydro, Geothermal, Renewable Natural Gas and Hydrogen) projects in Northern California.Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:BA/BS in Engineering or Environmental Services and 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.Preferred Qualifications:MS in Environmental Resources Engineering.10 years of demonstrated work management in the California renewables market including Solar PV, Wind, Energy Storage, River Hydro and related projects.10 years of expert knowledge of the Municipal Utilities in Northern California.10 years of direct interaction with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for permitting energy projects in California.10 years of overseeing renewable energy generating assets for a Northern California Municipal Utility.Additional Information

Relocation assistance is not available for this role. Sponsorship is not available for this role. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $210,000.00.About AECOM
