Tekpro is partnered with a leading component manufacturer for the aerospace and defense industries in their search for a Quality Manager! This person needs a strong understanding of aerospace and/or automotive manufacturing standards, as well as knowledge of CNC machined components, GD&T, CMM Machines, and all other relevant inspection equipment.Job Description:With direction and assistance from the CEO, the QM ensures all quality functions within the plant meet all quality standards including production, shipping, receiving and supply chain. Lead safety and housekeeping initiatives. Responsible for all quality especially staying on top of customer issues both internal and external. Serves as Compliance Officer and Management Representative responsible for all quality, including ISO, AS9100, ITAR records and reporting, including scheduling all quality and manufacturing compliance related audits.Position:

CEOResponsibilities/DailyTasks:Manage the QC inspectors, their daily schedule, tasks, priorities, issues etc.Ensure all quality related tasks are completed in a timely manner.Work with Production Planner for rush orders and any quality issues.Ensure the quality team is properly trained in all areas of their responsibilities.Responsible for NCR tracker and Cars. Review open NCR's for the week, Open CARS, verification of Cas and any open action items.Prepare quality assurance related KPI's for QBR meetings.Attend staff meetings as scheduled by CEO. Generally,1 hour meeting going over RAILS, KPIs etc.Responsible for audit schedule for the surveillance audits ISO9001- Establish the schedule and assign responsibility.Manage layered audits.Responsible for all ISO, AS9100, ITAR records and reporting.Manage high QA SPC software with tracking CPK index, including the graphs.Ensure 6S principles are followed in the QC Lab .Ensure all gauges are within calibration due dates.Verifies time sheets in Epicor for weekly payroll.Qualifications
:Previous leadership role in quality preferably within a auto/aerospace production plant. The Quality Control Manager needs to have a thorough understanding of all quality procedures, measurements, reports, compliance standards for ISO, AS9100, ITAR. Must be familiar with all quality aspects of auto/aerospace production and be prepared to implement improvements and changes as needed to the entire manufacturing quality process. Experience in reading blueprints and have a working knowledge of customer specifications and industry standards. Experience with measuring instruments such as: ID/OD micrometers, calipers, snap gages, bore gages, CMM's both manual and CNC, dial indicators
