Financial Controller

Position DescriptionThe Financial Controller position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial results and safeguarding of plant assets. The Controller will work closely with the Operations Management team to provide timely and comprehensive financial leadership to the Plant Management team. This role also includes managing and developing direct reports responsible for day-to-day accounting, reporting, and inventory control for the operations at the plant. The Financial Controller will also collaborate with the North American Business Unit Finance Team and other Controllers to achieve key accountabilities.Key Accountabilities:Ensure accurate and timely financial reportingOversee balance sheet and reconciliationLead forecasting and budget planningAnalyze capital expenditure and report findingsProvide guidance on cost analysis and compliance with internal controls and corporate policiesManage statutory reporting and completion of internal and external auditsSupport continuous operational and financial results improvementManage and develop direct reportsEducation and Experience:B.S. / B.A. degree in AccountingCPA, CMA or equivalent designationManufacturing/costing experienceFive to seven years related work experience in manufacturing or industrial environmentSkills and Competencies:IT Literate (Microsoft Office)ERP System experience (SAP preferred)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh level of accountability and initiativeAbility to work in a changing environment and meet deadlinesKnowledge of financial accounting systems, controls, and compliance proceduresStrong written and verbal communication skillsFinancial analysis skillsUS GAAP/IFRS knowledge
