We are hiring a
Supply Management Director
to be a part of the Global Supply Management leadership team in Grand Rapids, Michigan.What You Will Be Doing:As part of the global Supply Management leadership team, responsible for a significant segment of Supply Management and corresponding management functions. Oversees the overall operation and performance standards of multiple departments and provides strategic direction and leadership to the management teams. Provides leadership through the execution of new programs and initiatives that align with Supply Management's overall strategy, and that of Steelcase as a whole. Responsible for creating and managing the systems required to support enterprise-wide solutions and to drive the implementation of these solutions across various areas. Develops strategic plans, monitors key performance indicators, and coordinates cross functional work teams to increase effectiveness of Supply Management initiatives.Your Future Team:You will be working alongside other directors and supervising 3-5 Supply Management ManagersWho You Are:Required Skills and Competencies:
A combination of strong collaboration, influence, and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).Able to establish organizational policies and processes in a major segment of the company and to interpret, execute and recommend modifications to company-wide policies.Able to direct the resolution of complex issues, monitor budget and recommend changes relating to personnel.Able to make decisions that result in achievement of timely delivery of function-wide projects.Able to establish performance standards and goals to meet department objectives and company values.Able to occasionally travel nationally and internationallyPreferred Skills and Competencies
Bachelors in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or equivalent experience. Masters degree preferred15+ yrs related operations/supply/process management experience in a high volume/mix mfg environment
