Job Description As an Operations Leader with Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions, you will be accountable for supervising the activities of the membrane manufacturing group. In this role, you will ensure that production is maintained in accordance with time schedules, engineering specifications, quality standards, expense budgets, employee safety and cost goals; as well as assist in maintaining a goal- oriented, safe, and quality-conscious working environment. Promote employee acceptance of changes and good safety attitudes and awareness. Key Characteristics: * This position entails professionalism and independent judgment, and the overall ability to work with employees in all areas of the organization * Proven interpersonal and problem-solving abilities * Communication skills, both oral and written * Knowledge of Processes and Skills Essential Responsibilities: * Meet manufacturing operations financial targets, key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks including productivity, operating income, revenue, margins, inventory, and growth. * Ensure production goals are achieved and assure production activities are in compliance with company manufacturing and safety guidelines. * Champion health and safety, environment, good housekeeping and 5S programs. * Provide leadership to accomplish continuous improvement in quality, cycle time and total cost by advocating and driving the use of process excellence methodologies (six sigma, lean, etc.) within operations. * Continuously promote and improve tier processes, standard work, visual controls, and coaching. * Drive consistency and accountability regarding all policies, procedures, and expectations throughout the department. * Develop and motivate a high performing team of both direct and indirect reports driving to achieve a common set of goals to provide high quality products to our customers. * Work directly with support teams to recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate and respond to employee performance. * Works directly with PSI, Product Management, and Planning to assess the internal and external factors of finished goods and raw material inventory to meet the business needs in order to keep inventory at a reasonable and prescribed level. * Work with cross functional teams to support the department needs and improvement initiatives (Quality, EHS, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering etc.) * Oversee the department's Safety Program, conducting periodic department safety and training programs and assures that subordinates are properly trained in and utilize appropriate safety gear and protection devices. * Work closely with site leadership to drive site wide excellence through a collective team approach focused on operational excellence and equal and fair management for all employees. * Interact closely with other functional areas (Product Management and Technology) to support new product and process development, design for manufacturing, and design transfer activities. * Plan and manage budget; make budget recommendations for capital spend and labor. Qualifications Qualification/Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial, Logistics Engineering from an accredited college or university or a igned degree. * Minimum of 8 years of professional work experience in production/manufacturing or engineering management * Demonstrated leadership of capital / continuous improvement projects focused on meeting corporate and departmental goals * Strong problem solving / troubleshooting experience * Demonstrated ability to interact with team to effectively promote career path * Ability to promote a Safety Culture that drive continuous EHS improvements * Effective at developing and managing a project plan to achieve desired results * Proven ability to achieve required objectives through the leadership of others * Detail-oriented, highly organized, self-directed, and capable of interacting and communicating with all levels within the organization * Ability to multitask and lead / prioritize multiple projects * Strong communication skills, both oral and written * SAP experience preferred Desired Qualification/Requirements: * 10+ years of professional work experience in production/manufacturing or engineering management. * Master's degree in engineering Working Conditions: * Computer system data terminal * Production environment utilizing Lean Manufacturing Principle * Maximum of 5% Travel Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
